C295 MPA receive MEDUSA® Systems

In May 2020 OPTIMARE Systems GmbH was awarded a contract by Airbus DS to provide two MEDUSA® Systems in Sea Pollution Detection Subsystem (SPDS) configuration for Airbus’ C295 MPA Irish Air Corps programme. Both SPDS suites passed Factory Acceptance in May 2021. The SPDS interfaces with Airbus’ Fully Integrated Tactical System (FITS) which is deployed on each of the two Airbus C295 MPA. For OPTIMARE the participation in the Irish programme is another major milestone after supplying Airbus with SPDS suites for the programmes SASEMAR (Spain), VIMAR (Portugal) and an undisclosed customer.
