OPTIMARE offers services within the division of the Autonomous Observing Systems which cover aircraft-based measurement tasks, training courses for operators, integration and certification.

Data acquisition, processing and interpretation

The airborne platforms which are used for services, surveys and mapping tasks are dependent of the respective application. Services can be carried out by UAVs, ultralight aircraft, in one- or multi-engine airplanes, or helicopters. Platforms are chosen according to their efficiencies and tasks. The use of various platforms is possible through collaboration with operator companies for survey planes, helicopters or platform manufacturers.

Accomplished data acquisitions and evaluations with manned and unmanned systems:

• Compilation of wide-range digital terrain models (DTM) and/or digital surface models (DSM) for terrestrial areas
• Airborne topography of the Wattenmeer
• Compilation of city DTMs
• Compilation of house and city models
• Evaluation and survey using differential GPS
• Airborne gravity and magnetic field measurements
• Measurements of sea and shelf ice thickness

Integration and certification

Extensive multi-sensor measuring systems can be integrated according to customer specification on aircraft or UAV.
