Oil spills on road surfaces represent a major traffic risk. The persistence of the stains makes quality control of road cleaning activities an indispensable measure.
OPTIMOS- RoadScanner offers a sensitive, weather independent detection of oil and fuel spills on road surfaces. Innovative LED technology enables a compact design making the device easy to be mounted on road cleaning vehicles.
OPTIMOS- RoadScanner is based on a fluorescence line scanner with 1,70 m detection width. Scanned line data are combined with the vehicles motion information to 2D-fluorescence images of the road surface. Results are available inside the driving cab in real time. Oil contaminations are highlighted and cleaning steps can be verified and repeated if necessary.
Analytical data are associated with geolocation information (GPS) and with user notes in a database. A report function enables a documentation of the performed cleaning activities.
